DfI Unite is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of disability, device or browser. This statement explains our current accessibility position and what we are doing to improve it.

Our commitment

We want everyone who visits dfiunite.org to be able to access and use the content effectively. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a minimum standard.

How accessible this website is

We believe this website is largely accessible. The following features have been implemented:

  • All images include descriptive alternative text
  • Colour contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
  • Navigation can be used with a keyboard
  • The website uses semantic HTML to support screen readers
  • Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • Links are clearly distinguishable from surrounding text
  • Forms include visible labels for all input fields
  • The website is responsive and works on mobile, tablet and desktop devices

Known limitations

We are aware of the following areas where accessibility could be improved:

  • Some older PDF documents linked from the Members Area may not be fully accessible to screen readers
  • The embedded OpenStreetMap on the Contact Us page may have limited keyboard accessibility

We are working to address these issues and will update this statement as improvements are made.

Technical information

This website is built on WordPress using the Elementor page builder. It has been designed with accessibility in mind, using appropriate heading structures, ARIA labels where needed and sufficient colour contrast throughout.

This website uses HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. We recommend using an up-to-date browser for the best experience.
